The cupholders in cars are a convenience, but over time they can become a problem. Containers spill their contents, cups sweat and leave a liquid deposit in the cupholders. Cleaning the cupholders can be an onerous task. An Autocoaster nicely resolves these problems. The autocoasters I purchased are all smaller than the diameter of the cupholders in my car, so removing them is simple. The slanted sides are also helpful in removal, which must be done from time to time. I have seen other styles that have two small semicircles cut out of the autocoaster to facilitate removal and that style, too, is not only pretty but also functional. Ease in removal is an important feature, as cupholders should be wiped out as often as the dashboard is cleaned. The benefits of autocoasters are obvious: anything that helps keep the interior of the car neat and clean is a benefit. There are additional benefits to purchasing autocoasters; they are inexpensive and they make good gifts. The ones I purchased that won't be used in my car form the basis for Christmas gifts in 2009.
